Kris Kolenut
Consultant/Project Manager/Founder

With a passion for the great outdoors and native plants and wildlife, Kris discovered a need within the Appalachian region to better embrace the beauty of Western North Carolina. Kris grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey helping his father with his landscaping company, Lincoln Landscaping. After graduating from Brevard College with a degree in Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education, Kris applied his outdoor knowledge guiding for a therapeutic wilderness program, along with guiding for various outdoor recreation companies. It was during this time that Kris discovered the power of spiritual connection to nature. Inspired by his father’s methods of all organic landscaping, Kris went back to his roots and created Appalachia Land Care to help bring that power of nature to people’s homes within the Appalachian region.
